Under some US state laws, letting advertising partners collect information through our site counts as "selling" or "sharing" personal information. Section 8 explains how to opt out.

We may also share information to comply with the law, to protect our rights, or with a buyer if our business is sold.

6. Marketing emails and text messages

We send marketing emails or texts only if you signed up, or where the law allows us to email past customers about similar products. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. Message and data rates may apply. Opting out of marketing does not stop order and delivery messages.

Our emails may contain a pixel that tells us whether you opened them and which links you clicked, so we can measure and improve them.

7. Transfers, retention, security and children

International transfers. Many of our providers are based in the United States and other countries outside the EU and UK. When we transfer personal information out of the EU or UK, we rely on adequacy decisions (including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified) or on Standard Contractual Clauses.

Retention. We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above:

  • Order records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • Marketing lists: until you unsubscribe, then a suppression record so we do not contact you again.
  • Cookie consent records: 12 months.
  • Analytics and advertising data: no longer than each provider's standard retention period.

Security. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures. Payments are processed by PCI-compliant providers.

Children. Our site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information or sell or share it.

8. Your rights

EU and UK residents can ask us to:

  • access, correct or delete their personal information;
  • restrict or object to processing, including objecting at any time to direct marketing;
  • receive their information in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time.

You may also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).

Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws have the right to:

  • know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, sell or share, and get a copy;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete information we collected from them;
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising;
  • not be discriminated against for using these rights.

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require offering a right to limit it.

How to use your rights

  • Opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising: click "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" at the bottom of any page, or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser.
  • All other requests: email contact@archieanddennis.com. We will verify your identity by matching details you give us with our records, and respond within the time the law requires. An authorised agent may make a request for you with your signed permission.
  • If we refuse your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision. If your appeal is denied, you can contact your state Attorney General.
